The Frick Collection is honored to be the recipient of an award in the inaugural grant cycle of the Frankenthaler Climate Initiative, a new program established by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation that seeks to catalyze climate change action in visual arts institutions. Past projects include the Neue Galerie in New York, which, like the Frick, was originally designed in 1914 by Carrre and Hastings; the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, MA; the John Hay Library at Brown University, Providence, RI; and the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University. The institution is grateful to the many civic organizations and individuals who shared their endorsements and positive commentary about the project. Current projects include the expansion of the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego and the Swiss Institute in New York, which will open in June 2018.
